Can we import tax distributions in Autoinvoice without bringing a manual tax line?

The client requirement is as follows:

The invoice data is being interfaced from an external system. The external system provides information about the revenue line along with the tax code. When the Autoinvoice program runs, it will automatically generate the tax line. However we do not want the system to use the accounting segments defined in AutoAccounting for Tax. The interface will provide the distributions for the tax line.

My question is during Autoinvoice, is it possible to import the tax distributions provided in the interface table even if we have not provided a manual tax line in the interface. The only tax information that is being provided is the Tax Code that will be used to create the tax line at the time of import.
