11.5.10.2 - we have cases of asset creation linking to completely random item instances

hi

we have seen cases of asset creation through EIB, with the asset (valid asset created via PO receipt) being linked to completely random item instance which pre-date the PO receipt.
No logical relationship at all, based on sn/item code/MO/Description.

Has anyone seen this? SR has been opened also.
