Is CUPS the only option
Oracle only supports CUPS (Common Unix Printing System) for IPP printing. However, if the organisation already has a print management system, in our case UniQ . UniQ can only accept IPP requests, it can’t send them. We already have a Windows printing system, which we think we have correctly configured, but it is not responding properly to requests to print from the Unix box.
In order to use CUPS we will have to set up another box as a CUPS server. Are there any other alternatives? Is Solaris printing a viable option or could it be a lot simpler than that?
