How do I restore a 6 year old RMAN backup?

For audit requirement I've been asked to prove that the DBA team can restore an RMAN backup from 6 years ago. I've retrieved the full rman backup (including the archivelog backups) from tape. Can anyone provide me with the steps that I need to follow.
