sql tuning advisor and Siebel

hello,

 the recommendations of the sql tuning for a request sql consuming resources under database control 10g for Siebel 8 are to update the statistics for index. These index belong to empty tables. Siebel recommends to remove the statistics on the empty tables.

My question is the following one: is it necessary to update the statistics of these empty tables?
