Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. How to cap upgraded costs to an existing asset

We purchased a mainframe in 2011. A year later we spent twice as much to upgrade the existing mainframe.

Should I merge the second cost to the existing mainframe and cap as one asset

or

should I cap the second cost as a separate asset?
