WebADI Journal Upload Issues with Higher JRE 1.6 Plug-in
Does anyone else acknowledge this issue? Or know how to resolve it?
We're running into Web ADI journal upload issues from users with clients in such scenarios: We have Java 1.6.0_26 on our EBS 12.0.6 Forms server, but the EBS user has a higher JRE version on their client, such as 1.6.0_31. In this scenario, the user cannot upload from the downloaded template in Excel 2007.
But it's so hard to control the JRE version on the client due to automatic updates or JRE needs from other apps / webapps. The problem we're running into is that JRE 1.6, since about update 20, only seems to replace the previous update instead of allowing 2 versions on the client. In the "old days" of JRE 1.6, it was easy to have 2 versions installed on 1 client, for instance, 1.6.0_02 and 1.6.0_09.
