How to upload future dated Price Increases into a GBPA

Hello,

I would like to understand what is the "correct" method to upload future dated Price Increases for an item in a GBPA. I have tried the below and have documented why it may not work.

1. End Date the existing GBPA and Create a new one with a future date. This method requires creating one GBPA for every price update which is not an efficient solution

2. Upload Price breaks with 'Effective From' and 'Effective To' date. e.g. $1000 from 01-APR-2012 to 29-APR-2012 and $1200 from 30-APR-2012 to end of GBPA date. When I view the catalog today (30-APR-2012), the line item price still shows $1000 but when I add it to the cart, it changes to $1200. I do not think I would want the wrong amount to be displayed in the catalog. Is there anything that I am missing to upload? Moreover, I do not think price breaks should be used for future price update process.

Howdy, Stranger!
