Anyone know how to Personalize a user's 'Last Logged On' date onto the home page?

Hi

To try and prevent phishing security issues, we would like to increase visibility of the date and time when the user last logged onto the HCM system.  This information sits most logically on the home page when a user logs in, before they go into their responsibilities. Does anyone know how to Personalize a SQL query in and render the results to the screen or any other way to achieve this? Would I need a new region/what Item type would I need etc? Not very familiar with Personalizations so far....
