ora-01801 on oracle 10.2.0.4

Hello,We are experiencing sporadic ora-01801 error from our application which happens a few times a year.  Restarting the database clears the problem for some amount of time.  I see that this issue seems to have a patch for earlier versions of the database but from what I can tell this problem is supposed to be solved in 10.2.0.4.  Can anyone make a suggestion on how to fix this intermittent issue?
