RMAN behavior

 Hi,
I have queries regarding RMAN. 

1) let say we have Sunday full backup and rest weekdays incremental backup. And due to any xyz reason Sunday full backup got failed, how rman manage backup for next weekdays i.e. Monday. Will RMAN take incremental backup only or it will execute full backup.

2) Let say we have 7 days retention policy.  and 1st of JAN we have full backup and 14th of JAN full backup fails, so will RMAN obsolete last successful full backup..??
