How to Auto Create PO from Requisition using Background Process

Hi,

I observed that the Workflow status of all my Requisitions is 'Active' even after its approved. The Workflow diagram states that it is waiting for a backgroud process to run to create PO automatically.

What is the name of this process? and How do I kick-off or schedule this backgroud process? I am creating Indirect Requisitions and would like the PO to be auto created and auto approved. Please also guide me on the setups / profile options necessary for this.
