Work Order Shortages identified at the receiving step

Is there any way to identify parts, when they are being received, that there is a work order shortage that is waiting on these parts.   We're looking for a way to be able to prioritize incoming inspection steps based on work order requirements.  Is there any automatic functionality in JDE that does this?
