change database SID in dataguard

Hi,
IHAC which wants to change the database SID in a 10.2.0.5 dataguard configuration. They also have DG broker. It this supported? Any document available for this, except note: How to Rename Database/Change DB_NAME or ORACLE_SID/Instance Name (Doc ID 15390.1)?
