Console login issues

 I have a v20z server running Solaris 10.
bash-3.00# uname -a
SunOS dbclone.unleashedinformatics.com 5.10 Generic_118844-19 i86pc i386 i86pc
bash-3.00# cat /etc/release
                          Solaris 10 3/05 s10_74L2a X86
           Copyright 2005 Sun Microsystems, Inc.  All Rights Reserved.

                            Assembled 22 January 2005


Remote root login is enabled but still we cant login as root from Serial console, It gives access denied. Any idea on how to fix it?
