How to Enable "Lot Split" and "Lot Merge" checkboxes in R12 ?

Hi

"On Org Item form for the item it should be lot controlled and  enable "Lot Split Enabled" and "Lot Merge Enabled" check-box  present on inventory tab. ". Can you please elaborate with Navigation in R12 as i am new to EBS . I am not able to find it in the form.

Also , i request you to help me with navigation in Mobile forms of how to do Lot Split and Merge. Pls send me a Screen shot if possible .Bcoz i am really getting confused in R12. Give me a Elaborated explanation .
