Recovery of database with Flashback Data Archive (Oracle Total Recall)

I see from other discussions that export (expdp) / import (impdp) does not capture / restore historical information in a flashback archive.  I am looking for assurance that such data would be restored from RMAN database backups in the case where the database becomes corrupt.
