Tooltops in 11g?

I'm upgrading to WebCenter Content 11g and am no longer able to use or create tool tips.  I was formerly able to do this via the Helper component, however I've been told that it has been deprecated in 11g and I'll have to create my own component if I want tool tips. Has anyone else done this?
