How does should the Sales Orders be managed between an OPM plant and a Discrete Distribution center?

Hi,

I am implementing ASCP in a mixed-mode discrete distribution and process manufacturing environment and I have doubts as to how the sales process should naturally occur because the company uses an Inventory API connected to an in-house warehouse management system that moves the material from the OPM Inventory to a discrete finished product subinventory for invoicing sales between the plant and the distribution center. Is this a natural configuration or should the selling of finished products be made from the OPM inventory?? How should this be configured?
