Hi all

What is the correct sequence to change the ntp server IP address to a new time server when I have cluster running on both nodes?

Do I do the following when the cluster is running or I need to shutdown the cluster?

1) /etc/rc2.d/S74xntpd.cluster stop on both nodes

2) edit /etc/inet/ntp.conf.cluster on both notes and point to new time server

3) /etc/rc2.d/S74xntpd.cluster start on both nodes

Is there any missing steps like stopping the resource group?

I am running on Sun Cluster version 3.1 on Solaris 10.

Howdy, Stranger!
