Assets conversion from one set of books to another

We previously have had 2 different sets of books for Oracle Assets (Corp).  Each Corporate book has 3 sets of tax books.  We have just been informed that we need to move one set of corporate books and associated tax books into the other set of books.  What is the best way to accomplish?  We will need to transfer original cost, ad, etc from one set of corporate/tax books into the other companies corp/tax books.  Is there an API to accomplish this?   Once we load into the corporate books do we then need to copy to the tax books?  II
