R12 Inventory on a cutoff date SQL

Hi guys

For auditing purpose, we are asked to provide inventory as on date for last three years month wise. After spending four days, we are yet to get inventory values matching to Historical transactional summary or Inventory value by subinventories report...

We are using average costing and the auditors want to see inventory as on

31-dec-2010,

31-jan-2011 etc. Period closure report is handy, however pretty time consuming as we have 4 trading companies.
