Oracle DB 11g on Solaris 10 with NTP client running hit "Time drift detected. Please check VKTM trac

Hi all,
We have this problem on Sun Cluster 3.3 environment, where peer-to-peer NTP is configured by default.

After we get this error, we assume it is real time drift as we point the NTP client to a domain controller as time source, instead of peer-to-peer mode among cluster nodes. And yet, we still hit this error.

To reproduce the problem, we installed new Solaris 10 standalone server with DB 11g, run for a week without error. Then we configure the NTP client to sync time with domain controller. Waola! Same error appear.

We have check the time is exactly the same (in second), but still the VKTM error pop up.

Howdy, Stranger!
