Populating YTD and DEPRN_RESERVE for assets migration

Hi Freinds

I am in the process to migrate the assets data from older oracle version 11.5.5 to less older version i.e. 11.5.10.2 :-)

I am considering the option to populate the FA_MASS_ADDITION table and then follow the standrad posting process.WE are expected to go live in middle of the current fiscal year so it would not be start or end of the fiscal year which is normaly prefered by Oracle.

Along with that I am considering the assets to be migrated with YTD and DEPRN_RESV with amortization_flag to Yes.

My query is while populating the YTD depreciation and deprn_resv in FA_MASS_ADDITIONS table for already depreciating assets having the DPIS flags in the previous fiscal years what should be the figures for YTD and deprn_reserve amount.I have  refered some metalink document which provide guidance on this topic and found at number of places the notes says that "YTD amount and deprn_reserv amount should be equal. Now my understanding is this can hold true for those assets which are having the DPIS flag in current fiscal year but for those assets which are getting depreciated from previous fiscal years their depreciation reserve amount

Howdy, Stranger!
