hardware monitoring of Exadata storage server

Hi,I'm looking at a solution to monitor exadata and note the plugins for cisco switch, infiniband etc, which include a plugin for database server ILOM. I also note a plugin for the storage server but it;s clear whether or how it monitors the hardware elements (via ILOM I assume) of this server? 

Also, do you recommend the agent to manage the storage server being run locally (on the storage server) or on the compute node, which already manages the other components of the exadata solution?
All this maybe because I've yet to understand the pluguin coverage..
