How do you enable email encryption in Database Control 11g?

Hi,
In our environment (11g) backup notification emails must be sent in the encrypted format (TLS). I checked the Database Control help, but didn't find the answer there. I suppose the help is written for the Grid Control, since in the DC the TLS option doesn't exist, where the help says it should be. Do you know how to enable email encryption in the Database Control 11g? Thanks for the advice.
