Archive and Purge and its affects
I am working with a client who would like to archive and purge their GL data for actuals and budgets, They wish to take the archive data off to another table before purging it so that they can write reports to point to this other table to allow continuity of reporting maybe even write an OAF page to replicate the account analysis form.
I know that the archive and purge functionality is standard but I have never been on a client site that has ever actually used it. Can anybody help? I would like to know how effective it was and if you decided not to use it, why?
