Getting a Link into XML Code

Currently,the XML code being used allows drilldown (ie. Division to Region) by imbedding hardcoded Links with varible field names (ie. Region Name).  The first part of the Link is the Directory Path and the last part in the Report Name.  This works well until the Reports are Archived.  Then the Directory Path changes.  Since the Directory Path is hard-coded, when the User tries to drilldown the Current Report appears on their screen not the Archived Report.  Is there code in 11i that will allow the XML Code to "Accept" the Link so the first part of the Directory Path can become
