Is it available to expand the storage of a VM machine imported as an Oracle VM VirtualBox Pre-built

Adding SATA Contoroller to the existing storage will not work in the Oracle VM VirtualBox manager.  How can a VM machine imported as an Oracle VM VirtualBox Pre-built appliance recognize the storage newly added?
