Q on Dialogue box when submitting programs

HI - I notice that whenever we submit depreciation or post mass additions etc .. a dialogue box pops up saying " request XXXX was submitted " and there is an " OK " button for it.

I also notice that until the user clicks on OK , the underlying request does not start .

Questions :

1) is such box a FYI item or not ?

2) is it intended functionality that the user needs to click OK for the request to start ?

3) if it is an FYI box, why does the request not start until the user clicks OK
