Assigning Income Tax Block of Asset for fixed asset conversion

Hi,
Kindly suggest the way to assign the block of assets to thousand of asset converted from legacy system to Oracle Assets during asset conversion.

Can we directly update JAI tables  with the block of asset information for such assets ?
