Problems in Approval Heirarchy of PO

HI all,In our the Managing Director (M.D) has resigned from his job because of some internal issues, and in the Approval Heirarchy of PO he was the only person who used to give the final approval, there are no, of PO those are in queue for his approval and these are in In Process Status, in provision for this the management has give charge of acting MD a person who already a director so that to continue the on ongoing process now question is that now do we use the PO which are in IN PROCESS STATUS ??? AND HOW
