How to Display a List of Additional Suggested Items at Sales Order Entry P4211.

What options are available in Sales Order Entry to show a list of other items that the customer may be interested in based on the item they are purchasing? You want a list to present itself during order entry as an up-sell opportunity.
There are a couple options available that provide this type of functionality.

1. Set up Item Cross References P41040 for the main item using cross reference type A for Associated Items. Using this option, Sales Order Entry will present a pop up window displaying the list of associated items prior to completing the order entry process. Please note that due to key fields in the cross reference file F4104, you are limited to the number of associated items you can have with the same field values, expiration date for example. To get around this, set differing expiration dates on the various associated items.
