Active Directory login on Exadata DB servers
We recently installed Exadata. On most of our linux machines, the Sys Admins have installed software (SAMBA I believe) to enable us to login using our AD accounts. We then SUDO to Oracle or Root. This gives us better auditability on who is logged in on these accounts. Looking at the Exadata db servers, the RPMs are not installed to enable this. Is it supported/recommended to install the SAMBA RPMs on these servers for this purpose or would this cause a problem in future patching, etc.?
Thanks for any assistance.
