Cannot Delete task -No expenditure exists but throws error saying expenditure exists

The PM wanted to delete the task 1.4 SL Dispatch Console (SLDC).  It was originally set up for the period  7 May 2012 to 31 Dec 2012.

 

No resources were assigned to the task. Attempting to delete it resulted in the error message shown. An OBIEE Expenditure Report for this project showed no expenditure items against this task.  Changing the dates of the task to 7 May 2012 to 7 May 2012 and setting the transaction dates to 7 May 2012 also was followed by saving these details and publishing the workplan – it worked with no error message about expenditure items outside task dates.

When trying to Delete the tasks.it shows error:
