How to make planned orders only span 1 day

We would like to have planned orders start and end date be the same day to prevent orders from spanning multiple days.  So instad of 1 planned order for 10 units spaning 10 days I would rather see 10 ordres for 1

I've tried settting the fixed days supply to 1 but still am seeing planned orders in ASCP span multiple days.  Any suggestions, we would rather not change the fixed order quantity to 1
