Can UOM be updated in Credit Memo Class?

 Hi everyone,
UOM field on Credit Memo Class is disable. But my customer would like to create the Credit Memo that is used for decrease the invoice amount and need to have UOM.
Is this the standard? I haven't found any setup of it. Could you please advise?
