how to add rawdisk to asm

Hi
how to add rawdisks to asm of oracle10g on solaris10?

my SA mapped raw disk to db server and he given permission as oracle:dba. but
the disks are not visible to v$asm_disk & i am not using asmlib

can any help plz...
