hugepages and /dev/shm relationship

Hi all,

   I have a OEL 5.7 x86_64 server with 16GB memory and I initially had to increase /dev/shm to 13G to accomodate the 12G I've given to memory_target (AMM). I've decided to turn to hugepages configuration. Besides the hugepages related configuration (memory_target, etc) should I decrease /dev/shm size or it doesn't matter anyway?
