What control should I make before replacing a value set used in GL CCF by another one which maximum

Hi,

I have increased by error the maximum size of value set used in GL CCF from 6 characters to 20. As I can't decrease the maximum size of this value set to 6 characters, I've decided to replace it by another one identical but which maximum size is smaller 6.

Please not that no code combination was created with a value set superior than 6.

Please that the validation type of this value type is none.

Is there any risk by doing that?

Is there any controls I have to do before doing that?
