COPY SLA set up

HI

I understood that it was possible to set up the SLA in one instance, test it out and then export that set up to another instance. 

However I can find no documentation to support this but it would be really helpful if some exists, can anyone direct me to that documentaion and also any war stories that you may have come across or being bitten by.  It is just the OPM SLA I am looking at as I am having to completely change the set up at an existing client as the current set up is a mess so will have to move the new set up from a test environment in to production while causing the minimum of disruption
