Prorate Calendars

Hello FA Gurus,

We are in the process of deciding on what type of Prorate Calendar to setup for our client's Fixed Assets Implementation and as a matter of best practice we were referring to the White Paper titled 'The Wonderful World of Prorate Coventions'.

In the White Paper, it says that a Prorate Calendar together with the Prorate Date (which is determined by the Prorate Convention) determines how the Depreciation Amounts are allocated to the remaning days / periods in a Fiscal year.

Somehow it always seems to suggest that for different Prorate Conventions you need to a Prorate Calendar that matches the Prorate Convention being used.
