GI upgrade with Data Guard

Hello,
I want to upgrade the grid infrastructure of our three nodes RAC from 11.2.0.2 to 11.2.0.3. This RAC is the dataguard source of a second RAC that is physically applying.
Should I manually stop the apply process before starting the upgrade of the grid infrastructure?
