This session is meant for who have basic knowledge of database architecture, Backup and Recovery concepts and Recovery Manager. It covers analysis of Recovery Manager performance, how to determine where any bottlenecks lie and steps that can be taken to either improve performance or diagnose deeper into the root cause.

TOPICS WILL INCLUDE:

RMAN architecture and identification of the different processes generated
Analysis of the RMAN logs
Find the bottleneck: RMAN, disk io or tape io?
Debugging and tracing - when, how and where to set
