EAS and EIS related-Login

Hi,
I have two scenario related to EAS or EIS-

1) Essbase may be running usually but user unable to login using EAS url. (some time no response of browser) 

2) Essbase running but unable to login with EIS with correct credential. 

normally after restart EAS & EIS start woking usual.


Please suggest right approach how to know main reason of this failure, Which log capture these details. These are generic cases.
