Ability to include a related item obect on the copy of a custom object

We have 2 custom objectes for Quotes and Quote line Information.  The Quote is the header information and we have Quote Line Items as a related object on the quote.  When we copy a quote we would like the existing quote line items to also  copy to the new quote, is this possible?   Our consultants are saying no but I have to believe that there is some way to do this.
