Cannot use gmail account with Oracle Workflow 2.6.4

 Problem Description: We have to use a gmail account to configure the workflow mailer because we use google apps, is a standalone version of Oracle Workflow. When we set the values for the imap (imap.gmail.com) and smtp (smtp) server in the workflow mailer creation wizard, we receive the following message: Unable to make a network connection. When we use imap.gmail.com:993 and smtp.gmail.com:465 for establish the connection it says that cannot validate the account. Is a problem related to a certificate or something? how can we indicate to Oracle Workflow that enables SSL? there is no SSL checkbox anywhere in the
