The User Define Depreciation Program (P12855) is looping, the job does not finish, why?

Question:  The User Define Depreciation Program (P12855) is looping, the job does not finish, why?

Answer:      This is due to assets having a depreciation start date (F1202 Date Depreciation Started, FLDSD) outside the range of the In Service From / Thru date on the UDD rule of the user defined method used to calculate depreciation.  To locate the items, focus on the depreciation method (FLADM) and Date Depreciation Started (FLDSD) in the F1202 file then look at the In Service From (DTFR) / Thru (DTTO) from the Depreciation Rule Setup (P12851).  Use a query tool over the F1202 file selecting on the Depreciation Method (FLADM) and Start Depreciation Date (FLDSD) less than In Service From date.

Howdy, Stranger!
