End dating a Project Role Type

In R12, we now have the following new Key Member roles Portfolio Analyst, Approver and Owner. They seem to be related to Oracle Project Portfolio Analysis - which we do not have.  But when I try to end date the roles, the "effective TO date" is greyed out and not updatable.  How can I end date this role?
