Reducing the number of hardware threads in a T5140
Dear all,
We have recently purchased a Sun SPARC T5140 and intend to run Sybase ASE on it.
However due to licencing restrictions the max number of database processes is limited to 4 only.
So I'm wondering if there is any way to reduce the number of CPU threads so that the full processing
power of the machine can be utilized. Have seen suggestions to use LDOM but I have great
trouble locating it in Oracle's download site. If I look for 'Oracle VM server for SPARC', all I can
find are references to patches. There does not appear to be links to the actual software.
